Many of these feature the Hyperion tree, discovered in 2006, which measures in at over 380 feet in height. The Lost Monarch is also well represented. The latter is unofficially the world’s largest Giant Redwood, at some 26 feet in diameter.

A fierce sense of purpose seems to drive these notorious beasts, distinguishing them from, say, the feral cow.

The Komodo dragon.
The world’s largest living lizard. An apex predator, this fearsome individual can top 10 feet in length, and has been known to achieve upwards of 300 pounds in weight. If (when) he snaps at his prey, venomous anti-coagulants become part of the equation. These gigantic monitor lizards of Indonesia will indeed devour a humanoid biped every now and then, perhaps leaving unconsumed the odd camera of an unwary tourist.
Ants…and Antlions.
Yes, it’s all fun and whatnot for ants, until they cross paths with the Antlion. An extremely patient hunter, the antlion digs a spiralling hole, and waits. And waits. And Then: Whammo!
The French naturalist Jean-Henri Fabre wrote that “The Ant-lion makes a slanting funnel in the sand. Its victim, the Ant, slides down the slant and is then stoned, from the bottom of the funnel, by the hunter, who turns his neck into a catapult.”
The predatory actions of the larvae have attracted attention throughout history, and antlions have been mentioned in literature since classical times. {wikipedia}

Very minute individuals, who may be up to no good, by the looks of them.
The Tardigrade!
The Tardigrade, maestro of the microscopic. There is little they cannot withstand….extremes in heat, pressure, even radiation, the likes of which would initiate funeral preparations for practically any other life form, seem not to faze them.
Devil, Tasmanian.
The well-known savagery of the Tasmanian devil is well on display. The devil’s got quite the bite…the most powerful of any carnivorous marsupial on the planet, and near the top for any predator.
Black Mamba!!
An extraordinarily toxic serpent, the Black Mamba also lays claim to being the 2nd largest venomous snake in the world, with specimens of over 14 feet in length having been reported. Jeez.
